Picking the right guy to play Obama, that was the challenge, I mean, who is Obama really? We don’t know. We never got his transcripts and they say he’s kinda aloof. So I needed someone who could really dive in and really become Barack Obama and as it turns out, the answer was right in front of me all along: Daniel Day Lewis. He becomes his characters – Hawkeye from ‘The Last of the Mohicans’ and Bill the Butcher from ‘Gangs of New York’ and Abraham Lincoln in, ‘Lincoln’. And you know what? So apparently it’s “National Best Friend’s Day” (which is actually June 8th but I declare it today because I’m a fantastic friend who doesn’t care if it’s Mother’s Day or some shit and posting about how much I love my friend) so I’d like to dedicate this post to my better half, Ali (nipplethief | formerly pimpwithadeerstalker), who has been probably my weirdest friend eVER.
This is almost the third year I’ve known her. We didn’t really become best buds until last year and now I refuse to be detached from her. I’ll be honest, we’ve had some fights but always come back because my ribs ache when I don’t talk to her for a day. (I’m having cerebral hemorrhages from not seeing her in a whole month or so).
I will not talk about how we met or something because we’re not getting married. But that’s just what I wanted to say to my best friend. Excuse me whilst I sob a lot because I’m high on estrogen.
